Dissolution of the National Center for Research ResourcesLast updated December 23, 2011: no further updates will be made to the NCRR website. On December 23, 2011, President Barack Obama signed the Fiscal Year 2012 Omnibus Appropriations bill. As part of this legislation, the National Center for Research Resources (NCRR) is dissolved and the National Center for Advancing Translational Sciences (NCATS) is established. NCRR's programs have been transferred to the following NIH Institutes and Centers: National Center for Advancing Translational Sciences
NIH Office of the Director, Division of Program Coordination, Planning and Strategic Initiatives, Office of Research Infrastructure Programs
National Institute of Biomedical Imaging and Bioengineering
National Institute of General Medical Sciences
National Institute on Minority Health and Health Disparities
National Institute of Diabetes and Digestive and Kidney Diseases
National Heart, Lung, and Blood Institute
Principal investigators of former NCRR grants will receive more specific information from the NIH by e-mail within the next few weeks.
