Research Emphasis/Objectives

The goal of this project is to provide the research community with a Web-based lifespan atlas of zebrafish anatomy. The atlas images and 3D reconstructions will be based on serial histological sections. The Atlas Web siteexternal link, opens in new window, which will eventually be accessed through ZFINexternal link, opens in new window (zebrafish international network), will contain a variety of tools, including virtual slides, comparisons, 3D reconstructions, and integration with other features of ZFIN. Possibilities for a print atlas are being investigated.
