NCRR's Science Education Partnership Awards are designed to improve life science literacy throughout the nation.

NCRR's Division of Comparative Medicine helps meet the needs of biomedical researchers for high-quality, disease-free animals and specialized animal research facilities.

Health Scientist Administrator

The Division of Comparative Medicine, National Center for Research Resources, National Institutes of Health, is seeking a Health Scientist Administrator to plan, evaluate, and manage extramural scientific research programs. The HSA provides support for sophisticated mammalian and nonmammalian resources and repositories of genetically-modified animals — both vertebrate and inveterate — through grants, cooperative agreements, contracts, and programs. The ideal candidate will serve as a Program Officer and Scientific Manager, providing leadership and guidance for the processing, review, and award of an assigned research portfolio.

Budget Analyst

The Office of the Director, National Center for Research Resources, National Institutes of Health, is seeking a Budget Analyst to take responsibility for budgetary formulation exercises in support of the NCRR budget process. The Budget Analyst also will prepare financial and budget data on the NCRR programs for comparison of three to four concurrent fiscal years, develop and/or compile narrative and statistical material, and prepare exhibits and related background information in support of budget requests. The Budget analyst also will be responsible for monitoring the use and rate of obligations of budgeted funds through continuing dialogue with scientific officals, ensuring that resources are used consistently with the Center mission as stated in the NCRR Congressional Justification and other binding legislation/policy, and performing analyses of various data (i.e., accessions and seperations) for NCRR, funding for disease research and for peparing strategies for presenting the budget and briefs for the Director and others scheduled to appear before the Congressional appropriatons committees.
